The Formula

The Least Common Denominator (LCD) is the smallest positive integer that is a multiple of all the denominators in a set of fractions. It's essentially the Least Common Multiple (LCM) of those denominators. For example, to find the LCD of 1/4 and 1/6, we find the LCM of 4 and 6, which is 12.
