Explanation

To use the formula, we first convert the annual rate to a monthly rate and the term to total months: Loan Amount (L) = $20,000 Annual Interest Rate = 5% (or 0.05) Loan Term = 5 years Monthly Interest Rate (i) = 0.05 / 12 ≈ 0.00416667 Total Payments (n) = 5 years * 12 months/year = 60 payments Plugging these values into the formula, your monthly payment (P) would be approximately $377.42.
